Message drift has occurred very swiftly here. The original posting made no mention of immigration, asylum seekers or riots. it dealt with a view that the "new" government appears very eager to take a small benefit away from a very identifiable socio-economic group...pensioners. Bear in mind that those that worked, the majority, paid for the benefits of state pensions for all of their working life.

I frankly, I am guessing like many on here, am not bothered financially about a £100 a year payment but I am concerned about the principle of selecting elderly people. Perhaps when we see their increases in taxes, which is inevitable from this type of party, we might feel better about the loss of the heating allowance BUT I bet that pensioners will not be able to avoid the tax increases that will be imposed.

So back to the original question..."So who voted these crooks in? Well I did not. Is anybody prepared to admit that they they voted for the Starmer crowd or that Farage idiots party? We shall see.
