There were my 2 parents and us 6 kids in our house having just one bath a week. The Rayburn slowly warmed up the water and each had to have a bath on different days as there was just one storage cylinder. I suppose we all smelt the same so not noticing we may have smelled a bit.
Being a 10 roomed hotel, the guests had to book a bath, there being only one bath in the house and the charge was one shilling. House was sold in 1973 and became a rest home and later on, an HMO.
