EDIT ADDED: A normal Abdominal Aorta size is 1.5 to 2.5 centimetres. Anything in the order of 3 to 3.5 centimetres is classed as extre, moly high risk with a real risk of an aneurism according to,the NHS. Geoff I would be demanding to see my GP and get action taken. As you know if the aneurism occurs its effect is so serious and rapid that it is just about impossible to do anything about it. Please go and see your GP.
If you are having annual checks then it will be because your Aorta has expanded and thus placed you at risk. When you reach a critical size they will fit an expanding stent which will be integrated into the body and will reinforce the Aorta wall thickness and thus prevent a fatal aneurism.
Are you sure about that 34mm dimension? I did not think that the Aorta was that large. A 34mm dimension is an inch and a half.
Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.
