If the energy companies didn't have to pay so many share holders and Shell stopped raking in eye watering profits we wouldn't need winter fuel allowance.

It does seem that the fat cats are ripping us off, but on the other hand most of us have pension funds which rely upon the profitability of international conglomerates. Nevertheless our investments would probably do better if the fat cats exercised more portion control.
