Mrs B's R65LS has a set of progressive springs in & I looked to try and get a set of OEM standard springs last year as she finds the progressives rather harsh. Non of the usual suppliers had anything other than aftermarket progressive springs - usually touted as an improvement. I would have refitted the originals, but (unusually for me - I hord everything !) I appear to have recycled them.
Going to have to overhaul the forks on the LS sooner rather than later - with around 95K miles on the clock there is a patch on one leg where the chrome has worn though & which goes rusty. No damage in the area, but the original pre-chroming grinding marks are showing though. Up to now a good buffing with Solvol cleans and polishes the area so it passes MoTs and that leg doesn't leak oil, but it isn't going to get any better long term.
Nigel B.
