The Council have just sold the major city centre car park to cover a debt after the collapse of a business they owned.
You need a smart phone to pay the private company and also a token to raise the barrier.
That means i find another car park or park on yellow lines.
I have not needed to enter the City for many years now as not working there now.
I did used to park in the carpark free using a blue badge but private companies offer no concession. I am not likely to buy a smart phone now so Exeter is virtually a no go. John Lewis is maybe the only place i visit and they do have a free car park.
I wonder if all car parks will be sold off all over the Country ?
