I've long been saddened by the destruction of BMW build quality.

T'was always thus :

/2 owners were aghast at the decline in standards with the introduction of the /5s.

Post '81 bikes were inferior to /7s

K's had really gone down the pan compared to Post '81s

Oilheads were disasterous compared to Airheads

Etc. Etc.

That said, very few of the odd BMW Club members I come in to occasional contact with these days still have BMWs.
