I'm lucky enough to drive a car so old it has none of that and isn't connected to the internet.

I am worried about what I can replace it with when the time comes - I don't imagine I'll be able to carry on being free of unnecessary technology.

There used to be a legal limit on lighting power. What happened to that, I wonder? Perhaps the same as the rules that made car bonnets low enough to avoid smashing pedestrians' pelvises and killing them.
