I anticipate that within a generation or two pens and pencils will become museum exhibits the same as slate tablets and abacuses.

I've just heard on the R4 weather forecast that the Meteorological Office has designated storm Bert as a 'Multiple Hazard Weather Event'.
I despair. It seems de rigueur nowadays that a whole range of commonplace events have to be named.
