It had crossed my mind, but I would need the correct clutch hub which has to be longer as well, and you cant really extend that.
Think I would be a bit weary of something spinning around at several thousand RPM that had been welded as well.
So not a daft suggestion, just something I think is not practical.
Who needs a signature anyway......
