Dave, do you have an example of a ride by wire throttle going wrong? Its something I've never heard of happening.

It certainly has never happened to any of my bikes, or my mates bikes, or to any bikes in the workshops of the various dealership I deal with, and I've never read about it ever being an issue in the motorcycle press.

I've heard of bikes going into a "limp home mode" when the ECU detects a serious problem, but never due to miss-functioning of the ride by wire throttle.
