I liked the New Hudson bikes for the unusual way they were built from bits.
Possibly the oldest bike there was a bicycle frame with fore and aft twin Douglas in the top hall about 1907 if i remember and next to a 1911 version which was much improved with wider tyres and began to look more like a motorcycle.
