The biggest crowd i have seen and temperature about 16C and no wind or rain. Biggest problem was they put heating on so all those in jackets wilted. Difficult to see any bikes due to the crowd and still too busy at 13.30 to see much. Biggest display of quality bikes there this time.Temperature in the halls felt about 22C but being bright red glowing heaters, go under ne and it burns so very uncomfortable. 20 pound entry but for 2 people, i only pay for 1 ticket as i am special

Also, when i parked at 9.30, there was a Mazda car adjacent and i took little notice. Coming back for a cup of tea 2 hours later, the Mazda engine was running and heat noises coming from it. The elderly owner had parked and just left it running so i opened it as it was not locked and turned it off. He may wonder where his fuel has gone but all he will think is he forgot to lock it. Never found a car left running in a car park. Thats a first. Of course, that Mazda engine was extremely quiet and a 2018 model with stop start button. No key needed

The place was packed out very early. A very long line trying to get in at 9.30. Biggest problem with these shows is all the men wearing large back packs. My wife will not go now as when they turn around, it hits her in the face. I wonder what the hell they need to carry into a bike show in a large camping bag on their backs. I leave my snacks in the car then go eat outside

Geoff - I ended up going in the end, basically I got a free ticket, other factors as well.

I agree very crowded, had a quick look around, had a chat with the Morini Guys, also tracked down Jerry and was yapping to him for an hour or so.

They had some bikes up and running in a paddock at about 3:30 Jerry's mate had his Trident running, one of the best, if not the best sounding bike.

Who needs a signature anyway......

Got there 09.45, no traffic queues, and it was quite reasonable for an hour or so to enjoy looking at all the lovely bikes. No temperature problems Geoff as they did not appear to have the overhead heaters on. I also had a chat with Jerry and enjoyed the strident trident. Found a bendy oil filling funnel for the Guzzi and just got home.

I couldn't make it this year but it's great to hear it wasn't the same old same old it's been for years. Look forward to next year.

Classic bike prices are going down except for the 70s Japs. It may be that all will drop a bit as motorcycling seems to be on the wane at the moment.
Maybe its computer game playing or obsession living other peoples lives on social media ?

I could not be bothered to hang about for the Auction.

I did enjoy the Panther stand - love those M100's, seems most of / if not all of the Panthers on the stand get used a lot.

Simons next bike perhaps ?

I liked the New Hudson bikes for the unusual way they were built from bits.
Possibly the oldest bike there was a bicycle frame with fore and aft twin Douglas in the top hall about 1907 if i remember and next to a 1911 version which was much improved with wider tyres and began to look more like a motorcycle.

Last time I went to a show was at Shepton 20 years ago havnt been to any apart from ride outs I suppose it's because been there and done it many years ago ... nobody in the young sector is interested in old classics this happened years ago when I wanted to sell my Velo sold the engine for £80 nobody wanted the. There were these new Japanese bikes comming into the country .

Got back to London from the show 8.30 this evening. First time I have done this one and yes Saturday was very busy. Sunday was very cold windy and wet. Great to meet up with David Andy and Geoff. Knackered now as I seemed to push our race triple a lot either on the stage for the talk by Chaz Mortimer and my mate Alex George or pushing outside to the run up area outside. We had a lot of interest in our race bikes so also spent a long time chatting and answering questions.

True Andy but we got told to stop as the bike auction in the next hall had to stop as they couldn't hear

. Not our fault the organisers want us to run load bikes for the show visitors.

That trident had a very wide open exhaust with no internals.

That was just for the show Geoff if you had looked close you would have seen two small holes at the end of the silencers. They are to attach the internal baffles to get the bike exhaust down to the 105Db track requirement. The system fitted is a works system. Imagine a whole group of those bikes on a grid unsilenced in the good old race days sure was loud and lovely.

Yes, i spotted the holes. The North frame is a bit longer i thought with a manifold extended forward.
I see quite a few tridents at the NMM and always like the sound and sight
