I took the Commando out for its first ride since the cyclone finished,I was just approaching a set of traffic lights,as I gently touched the front brake the wheel shot out from under me, picking myself up I spotted a 1/2 inch pipe about 3 inchs long which had brought me down,as I struggled to pick up the bike a young copper started to hassle me as I was holding him up.He made no attempt to help me until a SGT.in the car told him off, he asked me how old I was, 83 I said ,well you should not be riding at your age as he went back to his car the SGT. said he wont live that long if his attude didn't improve
