I expect he will try again. He would be getting on a bit by now, Geoff - the film was dated 1926 ? I don't think the pole was to do with the parachute - he appears to manually pull a ripcord shortly after leaving the cliff, though the 'chute is rather slow to deploy. Nigel B. |
