As someone born in Kent,but grew up in S London I loved Kent,as it was....I knew very orchard I could sneak into for miles walked and cycled, later motorcycled every bit of it, M25 ruined it,now places S of Bromley which were country side extend out to Sevenoaks. 1930s houses now look like dodgy geezers homes, all gated and paved over gardens. Pikey camps along Layhams farm road where there was once wheatfields to ride past on my way to the and Nightingale cafe. Addington got bigger and bigger full of criminals. Bits of it are still beautiful but you need to know where they are. I wantd to weep last time I went back.
