You obviously haven't tried most credit card companies ...

Pay with a credit card for anything over £30, in law (Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974), the credit card company is liable jointly with the retailer under things like the Sale Of Goods Act. In reality, ime if the retailer doesn't cough when told, credit card company just takes the money off 'em and gives it to you, you get to keep the (broken ) bits too ('cos the retailer won't pay to get 'em back).

That's why, anything over £30, I pay with a credit card.

That said, while I've had A1 service from both Lloyds and Barclaycard, Santander for the missus were a pita 'til I applied the legal cattle-prod.
