One good thing about having "regular" riding routes is that you become accustomed to where the pot holes are, and you can also see how the roads deteriorate each winter.

On my evening ride I came accross my first "smoking" car of the year windows wound down and that unmistakable sweet smell coming from the windows along with clouds of smoke, no probs if someone fancies a "smoke" but FFS not when you are driving.
