Most of my neighbour eat takeaway crap. A family of 5 opposite each buy their own takeaway when each arrives home after work. That is every day as they all finish at different times.
Next door has meals delivered in boxes to cook at home. They were both teachers but at 59, one decided to be mentally ill so got the benefit of his teachers pension then his wife quite and collected hers. Good idea as they now have leisure time.
My last job was back in 2011 at age 59 and it was getting hard to do the work so i quit and lived off my University pension i collected when aged 56.
I could no longer see any point working until state pension age and had more time to travel and ride bikes
