So our leaders may put a tariff on USA goods coming here. I have not seen any USA goods in any place i visit so i am OK.

Lannis, USA still has the Harleys . Maybe if the UK puts a 25 percent tariff on those coming here,they will gradually be gone.
Already, if you buy odd parts from the USA on ebay, the UK grabs some import duties and fees so i no longer buy anything in the USA.
Who knows how this will all end now that Tesla car owners are re-badging cars so they dont get attacked in America. Elon Musk seems to run the USA now with Trumpo as his assistant

Of course, I have a completely different perspective on the whole thing. We've been getting soaked with tariffs from other countries for years, and we're just evening out the playing field and quit being the world's piggy bank.

The Left, who used to love Musk and Teslas, are now resorting to their usual burn, riot, and destroy tactics (see "Sturmablietung"

because Musk is turning over the rocks of corruption and payola and cutting off their sugar tit of taxpayer funds.

Believe me, the majority of Americans are cheering it on. It'll be Ok in the end; if it's not ok, it's not the end....!

Interesting to hear your take on this Lannis. I watch the news each Morning and some of it is a bit laughable. Teslas dont seem to get attacked here so far and there are a lot around now.

We have quite a few folks here that pose as "progressive" but who hate Jews, immigrants like Musk, and who riot in the streets when they don't get their way.

It's not a good look, but it's on its way out as we get things moving in the right direction. Tesla is going to go bankrupt not because of Musk, but for the same reason every other EV in the US is failing; drivers don't want them and can't use them.

I'd rather have my problems than yours though! Good luck.

I have often wondered why,in a country the size of the USA why a vehicle with a limited range was considered a good idea? Do they have charging stations on the wide plains or Monument valley type areas?
Lannis you are correct about media although over here we don't have political porn, just ordinary tit and bum stuff. Depressing what we have descended to here. I have not bought a newspaper for near on 30 yrs. Still, we are running out of English speakers who can read anyway.

EVs in this country have always either been bought as city second cars for 50 mile round trip commutes, or as virtue signalling poseur cars to show how avant-garde or environmentally aware they are.

Useless in the, as you say, wide open spaces. Chargers are rare, you have to find them with an app. As the Greta hysteria dies, so are the EVs.

The EV charging station at the local Shell garage cost around 250,000 pounds. How will they ever get a return on that cost ? The other EV charging area in Town does not work yet as it was only built 2 years ago and no one has located a power source for the chargers. There is no cable nearby to connect it.
Meanwhile, one of the Nephews has started installing 7kw chargers to private houses. Maybe 1 a month here.

Not much affects me as i dont buy much unless something breaks. My vehicles are usually UK built although maybe the Volvo came in by boat. I do like new cars though and really need one every year but resisting so far.

Funny 80% of Testler cars ar build abroad on factory in Mexico Harles aren't made in the US either made in far east have been for years
