Re: Story on Sam's SS427
I am glad to see my fellow enthusiast 69 lovers liked the Hemming's article on my Impala from 2011 so I thought I would give you all an update on it's present status, since I bought the car in late 2015 it needed much freshening up. So far I had the F40 suspension removed and had Ride Tech air ride installed with Accu Air control, this is the best thing anyone can do to an older car, it drives like a Corvette and the ride height can be set to stock or high or low, also we just finished a complete engine compartment restoration by pulling the motor and by the way when the intake was removed it revealed the original square port heads and aluminum intake. The car is in the boby shop now for some much needed paint work, when it's finished I will post pics. By the way the original TH 400 SS shift plate indicator was found hiding under one of the seats and has been reinstalled.
