Jon - In my opinion (we all know opinions are like ... everybody has one), the 67 Impala SS 427 is one of the greatest full size muscle cars ever built ! I have an original 2 page advertisement that states it pretty well, it goes something like this: For the man who would buy a sports car if it had this much room ! Although, a 427 Impala is not the fastest car I ever sat my butt in ... I have owned a great assortment of muscle cars over the last 40 years, including TWO 1969 Impala SS427 / 425 horse 4 speed cars ... Take a deep breath ... the fastest and most drivable muscle car I have ever owned was a 1971 Buick GS Stage 1 ! Please don't banish me from this site ... My heart and soul is dedicated to Impalas (I have a 63 Impala SS , 327/300 4 speed that I have owned since 1976)... I owned the 67 Impala SS427 which is pictured and documented on this site (Butternut Yellow, D96 stripes, Parchment interior ...) and other muscle cars at the same time during the late 1990's, it was the most fun to cruise around in !
