The number on the side of your frame is not your VIN (unless something very strange happened.
The date code on the side of your frame is the frame manufacture date and the number on the side is the part number for the frame.
If there is number on the side of your frame that matches your VIN I would like to see a picture !!
Usually they are always stamped on the top of the frame not the side.
