I do have a little more that I can add. As you guys know a 427 with 373 gears does not get very good gas mileage . Probably 8 or 9 miles per gallon. I drove the car till 1975. When gas got up to 85 cents per gallon I said to myself , "Hell with this ." I parked my car and never drove it again . 85 cents does not sound like much right now , but back then working my way through college, that was a lot of money . After parking my car I bought a Ford Pinto and finished college . I still have the 1975 plates hanging in the garage . When I parked the Impala it had 25,000 miles on it . It now has 28,000 miles. People say that I was smart for hanging on to my car . I don't think the word is smart .Maybe the word is lucky . I was fortunate to have a place to store it over the years . Anyway I am not trying to bore you guys I just thought maybe I could add a little more to the story . I will post a copy of the order sheet for you guys to see . Thanks for your interest .
