The build date may exclude a car from being a real SS, but cannot verify one as being real.Everything mentioned can and probably has been faked. Paperwork and owner history are what is needed. Without that you have a car with unproven pedigree. At the Supercar Registry someone has purchased a "possible" COPO Camaro. The only thing that excludes it from being a real one is one single piercing on the firewall that was done at the factory for a cowl induction hood. One extra hole= possible copo. No hole = not a copo.
