Hi Dave. For our Canadian Pontiacs, the ONLY Parisienne 2+2 models that ever came with Chrome valve covers and air cleaner lid from the factory were the 1967 2+2 Carl’s with the 427’s. No CDN Pontiacs in 1966, 68, 69 or 70 had Chrome there, and for 1967- again, only 427 cars got the Chrome here. No 396 2+2 cars had Chrome there. So while our B Body CDN Pontiacs are virtually identical to Impalas, this is one area where there is a difference. The Parisienne 2+2 is the equivalent to the Impala SS but the Super Sport Impala big block cars all got Chrome under the hood whereas our cars didn’t (except 1967 2+2 models with 427. There were also 409 Parisienne cars with chrome under the hood prior to ‘66 but that’s another topic.
