A friend who served during the Korea war was suppose to go with me but died of cancer a week before the trip, I took his Army picture, obituary along with a couple other things and layed them at the base of the Korean Memorial.
I collected $155.00 from coffee guys and handed the head guy of Honor Flight a check in his name dedicated to the Honor Flight at the Memorial. Did not have a dry eye.
I then went to the Vietnam Memorial and got pencil etchings of five (5) names of the guys killed out of my senior class, going to take them to our next class reunion.
