I too have Competition Hooker Headers for my '68 Z24, and they're great! They are wrapped to keep the heat in. Keep in mind, however, that the tubing is 2" with 3-1/2" collectors (at least mine are). That might be too big a diameter for even a 427 unless your engine is somewhat modified.
