Awesome story!!!! I love it. My favorite number is 69 for many reasons. My car was driven hard, that is what they were built for. I broke 3 speedometers over 120 mph. One strip run and a lot of street racing, including a lot of traffic light starts. I won most races, against Hemis, Fords, and other Chevrolets. 327 Corvettes were hard to beat and LS6 Chevelles. I parked the L72 and installed a worked 365 horse 327. That engine would wind. I wore that out and installed a 235 hp 327 during the gas crunch. 327 died and installed a 307. A lot of memories, 1969 Daytona race, Met My Wife to be, Wedding car, and family car. The body was really shook and a lot of body work. L72 rebuilt and ready to go back in, over 500 hp now. My Son will get the car and carry on the tradition, but now He will only get to drive it. He has a lead foot like Me. I hope to meet You. NICK L72
