Hi Bill, I prefer to keep my car all original where I can, that’s why I’m after a cast iron nose cone as mine has a small crack in it and I wish to replace it before it possibly lets go.

A 4 speed manual/168 teeth flywheel requires a staggered bolt pattern cast iron nose cone, this cast iron starter will also fit an auto.
However a starter motor with an aluminium nose cone/staggered bolt pattern will only suit autos, will not fit 4speed…. Cheers Glenn
ps As for it being available down here, please take my word for it we do not have the same luxury you guys have when it comes to auto parts stores stocking anything much at all/nothing for 50's 60's etc American vehicles...
