My Website

After wanting to create a website for years, I finally got around to doing so. If you are interested in 1966 Big Chevy's, especially the L72. I have some cool info on my site....thanks !

I like your site, and the cars you have shared. Also like the L72 information. I will offer a correction for you. The Holley carburetor for the L72 was not a double pumper. It was a duel inlet vacuum secondary unit rated at 780 CFM. That is the what you have pictured, only the description is incorrect.

Thanks Pat....I'll correct it......Of the info I have...it says the carb is a 750 ??

According to the Holley Numerical Listing for their carbs the 4150 - 4346 unit is 780 CFM.

It is near the bottom of the first page. This carburetor was used on numerous Chevy high performance engines including the L78 396/375, the L72 427/425, the DZ 302 in the Z-28s, the LT1 350/360 and the LS6 454/450.

In addition to full size cars, the L72 was also offered in the 1966 Corvettes. They are great motors, I am on my 3rd one now. An original 68 Biscayne, my current 68 Biscayne tribute car and one transplanted into a 1967 SS Chevelle.

Is the L72 Biscayne our Canadian friend's car? Or are you done with that?

Yes I'm working on Jim's car...the one we got from you. Everything has been gone through. We pretty much rebuilt the body....it's in final paint now. I hope to have it done in time for the Chicago show in November. Also Harold passed away about two years ago.....he was a great guy. I miss him.

You probably put a lot of the correct parts & NOS stuff on his car that I sold him. Did the NOS air cleaner get used on it?
