Finished last year by winning the championship, and has started this year by winning the first two races of the season with James Hinchcliffe and Ryan Hinter-Reay today.
Does anybody that watched the race know what happened to Allmendinger today? At the start of the race there was a crash near the back of the pack that brought out a yellow on lap #1. On the restart A.J. got an awesome start and went from 12th to 7th on that restart, and he was running in 7th for quite awhile, and I switched over to watch the end of the NASCAR race, and switched back over to the INDY car race a little while later, and A.J. was running 19th, and I think he ended up finishing 20th, but on the lead lap. Earlier in the race the NBC Sports broadcasters were talking about the makeshift crew Penske threw together to pit A.J.'s car today. I wonder if he had problems in the pits. With the exception of the crash on lap 1 the rest of the race went green, so they raced 87 laps under the green flag, so no pit stops undewr yellow today.
