I think I mentioned this before, but in the Detroit market no matter who you have cable or satellite through you get NBC Sports for free. Probably has something to do with close to 6 million people living in the Detroit area, less than a million in Detroit, and 5 million in the suburbs. I know Comacast owns NBC and NBC Sports, so it's just a matter of their competitors not wanting to pay Comcast for the use of NBC Sports, but I have to tell you if someone told me I had the choice of either paying $10 a month to watch all the Indy Car races and F1 races, or not pay the $10 a month and not watching the races I'd be paying the $10 a month. You only have to pay the $10 a month for half the year. Just cancel NBC Sports after the Indy Car Series and F1 seasons are over. My wife and I do that with premium channels. I like the series on HBO called "Boardwalk Empire", so when there's new episodes on HBO we pay for HBO, and when the series is over we cancel. My wife likes a series that's on Showtime, so when they have new episodes we get Showtime, and when the season is over we cancel. Just takes one phone call, and with one type of the keyboard the channel is either activated or cancelled.
Did I mention I might be taking a drive up through New England this summer, and probably swinging through Woodbury to visit my attorney buddy, and get a Cubano Sandwich at that deli by his office. I'm thinking of driving up through New England, and then doing a U-turn, and driving down the coast all the way to Key West. Who knows? Just something the wife and I are talking about. If she doesn't think she can get away I might do a solo trip. I was thinking about hitting a lot of minor league baseball games in the New York City area i.e. Long Island Ducks, Brooklyn Cyclones, Staten Island Yankees, Hudson Valley Renegades, etc., and maybe even taking in a Yankees or Mets game.
