nns is a development series. blaney is a development driver. Penske gave hornish the ride this season as a solid for doing so well filling in for allmendinger last season. he was not and is not good enough for a Penske cup ride.

my view is that hornish would rather retire than get in an indycar again. and so, that may happen.
Elliot Sadler like rides in NNS are rare. That's what Hornish needs.
