NASCAR probably knows more than most folks think. The first thing to know is that she first brought the incident up to two folks on the board of directors of her charity the Army Forces Foundation. They both happened to be high ranking officials with NASCAR who also worked with AFF. I think her plan was to resolve the issue outside of the legal process. Shortly after that both the officials resigned because of the conflict of interest. After that she interviewed with NASCAR's legal counsel; that also went nowhere. I think that the legal counsel deal fell thru because they were smart enough to realize that there was a good chance that a crime had been committed, and it wouldn't look good if they got involved to sweep it under the rug. In the end I think that the DA will file charges. The DA did let the police investigator testify in the protective order hearing and the detective seemed to believe that abuse had taken place.
