Javier, the pharmacist and owner of farmacia Melaque, told me and sold me on Cloropiramina. I believe his medical credentials are somewhat better informed than most of the lay. He told me that if I went to the central de salud, they would either give me an injection or an i.v. of Cloropiramina which is the same stuff he sold me a box of 20 tablets for 200 pesos. I have been stung twice. The Cloropiramina goes to work almost immediately and in about 1 hr. of taking it, I was mostly symptom free.
