sunset Posted by Daniel H on June 3, 2023, 8:37 pm This is actually from May 26th. The norm for the past week or so has been the sun setting behind the low clouds, breezy and IMO a bit chilly. Similar to the June gloom of Malibu. I hear the water is warm as validated by the water temp map. It should change to get naked and be somebody or get naked and be nobody time soon though, when the winter of our discontent is made glorious summer by our rotation around the sun. Just point almost straight down at sunset to get the direction we are rotating, its always toward the leading transition of dark to light.

As you take every stride, With a feeling of pride, Your feet as they churn will help the Earth turn. You can think of the street, Turning under your feet So take each stride with a grin, You’re adding to Earths spin! Note;- Sometimes I feel like I’m angle parked in a parallel universe. Note;- To actually keep up with the Sun you would have to move approximately 1000 mph.

At the risk of being too off topic.....(just ask me to stop) Watching the sunset you are rotating 1,000 miles per hour backwards and on the trailing side of the solar system rotation. This sunset while Gumpin on the beach I was thinking about the Ottmar Liebert's album "The hours between night and day" I had always considered it to be about sunset but the title suggest it is about sunrise. 'Bombay' (1996 concert movie) Facing the sunrise you are rotating 1,000 miles per hour forward and are on the leading edge of the earths rotation around the sun. Truly on the tip of the spear of time (so to speak). Solar system awareness (where we are in relation to the sun and planets) should be just as much a part of our world as knowing basic math IMO. (I have had people who want to sell a lot come into my office, when I ask them to show me on the map where it is they are first at a loss having never used a map before. After a bit and a few tips they get it.)
