We were at Bahia Azul Restaurant picking up a meal for Tilín, and saw the cooks making meatballs. Belén (the owner) said she sometimes makes them from fish - albóndigas de pescado- fishballs! We said we would love to try them sometime.
She later arrived unexpectedly at our house with these amazing delicacies bathed in a flavourful broth, complete with tender potatoes, carrots and calabasita.
The fishballs have a delightful light texture, and the broth is rich with just a hint of spice. Stunning! What a beautiful and tasty gift, thank you Belen!
We think the kitchen at Bahia Azul is making some amazing food this season!

Wow David you guys scored big time. Not only a tasty meal but also an introduction to another Mexican food prepared specially. Even Albondigas de res are not common here. You got the double deluxe made con Pescado. Put that in your recipe box.
