We hope your holidays were merry and bright and that 2024 will be a year of good health and happiness for all!
2023 was a year of transition for La Catalina Foundation. Donaldo Ponto, excellent and charming Director of La Catalina for the past 5 years, left in January to take on a position with the Four Seasons Tamarindo Resort. We were blessed to have Grace Briseño join us in July as director and were sad to see her leave at the end of 2023. Her organization and care has La Catalina set for a successful 2024. As much as we will miss Grace, we are excited to announce that Estefanía Carranza has joined the La Catalina team as the new Director of LCF, effective this week.
Estefanía (pronounced Estefaneeya) is keen to learn all the workings of La Catalina and is excited to meet the students and the sponsors and friends of our organization.
Drop in Spanish classes will begin this week and continue into the spring.
These classes provide an opportunity to practice speaking Spanish, to ask questions and to increase your knowledge of the language in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Find the class that suits your needs best, drop in and meet Estefanía and enjoy learning a little more Spanish.

Estefanía, could you please contact me at shelton@sonic.net. I have a friend who is interested in sponsoring a student. She will only be here for about five more days. I was in your Spanish class today.

Yay! I was missing Grace's classes. She had two sessions for we beginners, Tuesday and Friday. Any chance of a Friday class? Got the news about Tuesday too late.

I just attended the advanced conversation class and Estefanía is great! Very fun class. I highly recommend attending.
