I could not count the times I have seen this very scenario play out the past 30+ years! Primarily in the Door classes, but now in the Modifieds. A class with 25-30 cars, 15 of them want to go faster, so they allow this and that! Pretty soon that class of 25-30 cars becomes 15! Then another Low buck class starts up, Lots of cars....till they all want to go faster! Seems to happen in 6-8 year cycles!
