Cuz from what I witnessed,the racing was outstanding and that was about as well run a program as there was at any dirt track in the southwest...
Now about the A mods...
Car counts are down,I get that...
And there are a myriad of reasons as to why.
Couple guys moved away,
Couple others got divorced& had to liquidate,
There are couple who haven't been able to make it out due to business commitments.
3/4 waiting on motors.
Some people got tired of the abysmal track conditions & carnage the past couple of seasons and sold out,Nobody knew at the time Fegan was gonna take over&rectify the situation.
1 local guy races only Cruces.
All told there's probably about 8 or 9 A mods locally that haven't made it out(Yet).
You gotta remember as well...
Back when we were pulling 30 a show at HHS there was no such thing here as an X mod.
A lot of guys have chosen to that direction...
Can't blame em,that class has to be the most bang for the buck class going.
I pretty much pegged the fun guage driving mine the other night... Those things are a blast and 99% of the guys in that class race you hard&clean.
I think the A mod class will eventually grow,and you'll get adequate fields,maybe not to where it was 5 years ago,but times have changed.
