Just for the record. My first lap spin was because of a tap from behind. It was simply an accident; although it hurt physically and hurt the pocket all is good now. I was only made aware of the hit after that driver talked to me and apologized. I am no different than any other driver after an accident, we’re all pissed and don’t want to be bothered. I agree with my buddy about drivers possibly overdriving or driving beyond their skill set. I am no means perfect and have made my share of mistakes, but knowing ones limitations will help you become a better driver. For example: If your running 6th and haven’t been able to pass the 5th place guy in eight laps what makes us think driving under him in his blind spot on the last lap will work. Of course the outcome is always the same, two crashed cars and two pissed off racers. What makes us think running up the middle on the first lap into turn one will work? You can’t win the race on the first lap but you can lose it. What makes us think when our car is pushing or loose we can drive it the same as when it’s great. Okay enough with the WHAT MAKES US THINK; I know it’s easier said than done. It’s like stopping your golf swing in the middle because it doesn’t feel right. I tell my wife all the time “it’s a good night if I can drive the car in the trailer.” We are all weekend warriors and spend more money than we’ll make, so let’s think about finishing the race. I love the x-mod class but spending all week getting it ready just to spend the next week fixing it doesn’t make much sense.
