CAMERON -- I would surely agree with Ur last Post as Starting in the Middle. Then be fortunate enough to Pass the Polesitter &/or those in Front of U gives U a better Feeling than Wiring It from the POLE.... Likewise in a previous Post that " U will always be racing the same Drivers in your Heat...". NOT so as with a Point Average, sure U may Start in the FAST HEAT this week, BUT if u DNF in Ur HEAT & say Finish 18th in the Main the Next Race Date, may find U in the Middle Heat or even the Slow Heat..... As K Seals mentioned invert the Top 8 (or even Top 6) surely makes a Race of it. Likewise a 16 Car 20 Lap Main with a B Main is a better use of Race Time. Especially with the many various Speeds......... My 4 cents Worth...
