There was a motorsport event @ HHS that was a “C” rate monster truck show and two main events of Cruisers
(The real attraction in my unbiased opinion) and it sold the place out with many would-be fans turned away. You would have thought the powers to-be would have seen the path to major profitability laid out at their feet. One can only imagine the Casino’s take on a full up Monster Jam show or other similar attractions offered on occasion between the Saturday night program to make substantial the bottom line.
I came away from all that with the realization that maybe the tribe just did not want to be in the race track business.
Sadly, due to the incredible cost to remove it, HHS will likely stand as a ghostly reminder of what “could have been” for many years to come as we travel past it on I-25.

In the southwest racing is alive and kicking and I believe our current woes perceived or otherwise are acute and not chronic.
