Everything is pretty much status quo from last season, with the exception being that the Chevrolet LS1 327c.i./327hp part# 19165628 crate motor is now legal.
It's aluminum and offers significant weight savings over a cast iron motor.
Motor retails(new) for about $3300.00 less intake.
You can run the factory fuel injection if desired (about 1k.)or 2 barrel intake.
According to Royal,
For testing purposes a used LS1 was purchased from a junk yard complete for $500.00.
Guess Jimmy (Ray) got hold of it and was pretty impressed by the way it ran.
Should be an interesting option. ..this season.
Also, the LS1 motor will be subject to a $1200.00 claim(long block less intake) in order to dissuade anyone from getting to carried away in building one up.

The Annual winter meltdown is just around the corner(March 4~7).
The X mods will be on the program thur/fri./Sat.
Thursday & Friday nights feature will pay $500.00 to win.
Saturday will pay $1000.00
