C'mon,Take the money run...

So...took a while,but it looks like we got this thing figured out.
Next weekend@ Napa the X mods will be running for $500 to win/$50.00 to start,total purse is $2125.00(I'll post complete purse breakdown later)
The reason for the added purse is Charlie Fegan stepped up and matched Kevin Mcdonalds $500.00.
What we've done@ Kevin's suggestion is rather than add everything to the bounty,the money collected was spread throughout the field.
Instead of a "Dolly Parton" everything on top kinda purse...everyone who shows&supports the Xmods next week will get rewarded.
Couple different scenario's..
If we get an influx of visitors,then it will be pill draw/heat placement/re-draw for Bonesteel.
If we don't get any J.R. has agreed to start scratch..regardless of # of cars.
Either way gonna be fun to watch.
Several people have asked what if J.R. gets deliberately taken out...
That would be really dumb,for a couple reasons.
A.you get D'Q ed on the spot by our race director.
B.Repercusions,I'd rather tangle with a pit bull in a phone booth.
If it turns out,to be a just hard racing deal,pretty sure Richard Johnson's gonna make the right call.

Tech...
In order to maintain the integrity/keep a level playing field in the X mods,we're gonna step up tech this week.So far this season it's been lax...not trying to step on anyone's toes,but I've talked to several fellow driver's and everyone's on board with it.Be prepared to spend some extra time in Tech.
...might wanna re-read the rules to make sure you're legal.There will be NO mulligan's(period)

Last show we had 21 X mods...I' counted 11 that have raced at least 1 show this season who weren't there,Several will be back,I'm expecting 24/28 locals.Should be a full field&then some.
For those who sat out last race,because of "track conditions" from prior show.
...Fegan's working his butt off to keep improving the surface.Last show was pretty good.
With the added purse,you're excuses are kinda lame.
Need EVERYONE to show up and support this deal.

I know this...if people like you continue to push this deal,it's gonna get real interesting by Saturday.
Guess people are gonna have to show up&find out...
If J.R does start in the back...he's gotta figure out how to get around Greg&Dickie Gorham from Las Cruces.
They've decided to be bounty hunters...this weekend.

Now there's rumors of a certain local unbeaten A mod racer,stepping into an X mod...in order to collect the bounty...

This deal's getting a little crazy.(stay tuned).

NO WORRIES, "A" Mod guys can't drive a car without Driver assist torque arm and a big motor and if the race track is not pop corn dry the "A": Mod guy is out to lunch--- MY MONEY IS ON J.R.

I'm glad you brought up the A mod...deal.
We're gonna make sure this weekend none of the A mod stuff somehow manages to find it's way onto an X mod.

So...if somebody decides they're gonna use a kinda legal motor.
Or, maybe hang a schrader valve Integra shock,with the schrader valve removed on the left rear,
They're gonna get popped.
I just re~read the rules(twice) and nowhere do they state that using "I'm new to the class" is a legit excuse.
Fegan's given the o.k. to "Tech away".

This weekend...looks like we'll top $2500.00.
Basically 3X the normal payout...there's people coming in from all over the state to watch,Thanks to everyone that stepped up...X mods are gonna be running for a pretty decent purse...that's ALL Kevin&I wanted,mission accomplished.

yes for once mychal was being a good boy but not really attacking joe, was in a roundabout way of asking him to pitch in to make this show even bigger since there are many others doing the same. we could be on to something with this xmod thing, getting some out of towners, new clay (supposedly)

joe has never raced or owned a car but will not hesitate to tell everyone how it should be, so kinda know where he is coming from. so come out and bring your goggles, you will probably still need them.

I agree with mike, Mychal did nothing wrong. Joe S puts his two cents in but still doesn't understand that X-Mods and Sport mods are two completely different type of cars even though I have explained it to him several times, I love his enthusiasm, but like grandpa always said, "Better to be quite and look a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Now I can honestly say that I have no clue who don travis is nor his size, but since I have never heard his name over the loud speaker at any track I assume he is no one to get worked up about pleasing. This is the same guy that went to the holy land "SNMS" and complained about the show... we have a word for those kinds of people but it’s not used in polite company, outside of a kennel! So I say if you have a problem with Mychal doing what he does best, creating a controversial thread that garners attention to promote a race, then don’t read his posts, it really is that simple… see you all Saturday!

During all the hyping & taking of pledges, where did you see Joe jump in to de-rail anything, if you or anyone wants to take shots at me Go for it, most of the time I deserve it but Joe is just sitting there and El Cornholio drags Joe in with a passing sucker punch, do you really think Joe deserved it? As for the "SNMS" post, your right, I should not have done it, it was a bad night and showed signs of things to come for my Mom, the way loud speaker system triggered my Mom into a nervous state of mind and we left after the fireworks show, it was a bad decision to take her, if Royal ever comes on here again, I will apologize to him for the Hell I raised and ask for forgiveness.

I can fully understand attacking me but MyChal was on a roll pumping up this weekend and I did not foresee a point that a Negative word was going to come from anyone but that did not stop MyChal from keeping his emotional problems from surfacing, the poor guy can't own up and can't take a ribbing, I'd be afraid of someone like that behind me on the Freeway, it must take nerves off steel to drive an X-Mod in a race with someone with Mental issues in the same race.

If I ever said anything Bad about the X mods, I'd love to see the Thread! Your the one always going off about how good the racing in Cruces, Aztec and Armadillo is!

you can't take the Junkyard out of the Car! Last season Racing was canceled one Saturday night here in Albuquerque due to the Forest Fire smoke so we gassed-up the car and went to Grants, when you see their racing and compare it to NAPA Speedway, it's night & day. Most of the cars we saw race had never won a single heat race anywhere else, it was an eye opener to just how good we have it here in Albuquerque!

Nice write up Mychal ! Should be a good show, last weekend was green to checkered, with packs of cars everywhere. Good job to whole division for doing a good job. Glad to see Kevin and Mychal trying to grow and support their division, i know their are more drivers that will be willing to help out in the x mods, theres good people in there. See ya Sat. !
