Since the Kentucky Derby was this past Saturday, this is a perfect symbol.
Some days we all might be "Justify" that came in first.
Or.
We might have days where we came in last like "Mendelssohn"
Even ho-hum days like "Vino Rosso and Solomini" who were smack dab in the middle.
But.....What I saw on Saturday was every single horse and rider crossed the finish line.
I'm pretty sure the owners of those horses cared what spot they finished, but that would ruin my story.
We start this, we stumble, we get up. Maybe not the first to hit a goal weight, but we are all in it. We are all on the track, and we all will cross that line. As long as we don't stop going forward, no matter what. (Or drop dead from a little man riding our backs)
