Since the Kentucky Derby was this past Saturday, this is a perfect symbol. Some days we all might be "Justify" that came in first. Or. We might have days where we came in last like "Mendelssohn" Even ho-hum days like "Vino Rosso and Solomini" who were smack dab in the middle. But.....What I saw on Saturday was every single horse and rider crossed the finish line. I'm pretty sure the owners of those horses cared what spot they finished, but that would ruin my story. We start this, we stumble, we get up. Maybe not the first to hit a goal weight, but we are all in it. We are all on the track, and we all will cross that line. As long as we don't stop going forward, no matter what. (Or drop dead from a little man riding our backs) Have an awesome Wednesday... Come on somebody, lets adopt another day and give it a great positive name!!!! "Wednesday .....? {Hugs}
My daughter and I were at the Kentucky Derby in 2009. It was a real "hoot". I was still chubby but I had MY HAT!!! A great experience was had by all.
I don't know about adopting another day, I'm just trying to get through this one. I'm working on 83 more days until the new "me", Me.
There is a gala tonight honoring my husband and I am trying to figure out how little I need to eat so that no one bothers me.
Cheerio!!
Ok that's a hat!!!!!!

Beautiful...... Love looking at the hats and dresses of the woman. How wonderful that your hubby dude will be honored. You must be so proud. Is he acting like "It's no big deal" or is he acknowledging his achievements? I don't have any advice on people bothering you. At 63 I am Wayyyyyy past that. I have kinda a Sassy Streak. Well not kinda. If anyone says anything to me about what or why or why not about my eating.....I just look at them. Honestly, Why would and do people care? I say in your mind "Put on your Kentucky Derby Sassy Hat" and just ignore them. Anyone bold enough to butt into what I have on my plate, needs to be taken care of boldly. But, that's just me. Or... Tell them you are feeling sick to your stomach, like you feel you might vomit, then make a little lunging motion towards them. Have fun and be in the moment. This is all about hubby dude, and let people know that! (Hugs)
