The almost universal recommendation for portion control is the following: protein the size of your palm,(4 ounces a deck of cards) and the carb the size of your fist. Based on three sources: Bill Phillips "BODY FOR LIFE" Kim Bensen "FINALLY THIN", and Dr. Barry Siegel's "THE ZONE", I stand by the recommendation of using 2 of my fists to just what my plate and portion sizes should look like.
