I know it seems to be a hassle. And, trust me, NO ONE has the resources or money to afford Christmas and all that it entails. But, for me the spirit of Christmas and this time of year is something special and should be cherished and celebrated (with or without material gifts and such). I'm sorry to hear about Andy's knees, but think of the magic and beauty of the season.

I know I sound like a little kid but it only comes once a year and for me without the blessings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, I would be a much different person. I'll stop preaching for now, but I still think it was worth it to have your tree and decorate it in the name of the season. It's not the presents but the spirit of love and hope.

Yes, I feel much better going in to 2019. However, my husband needs yet another surgery and I am nervous about that. But, I know I will keep getting strength from "The Big One".
